SHUMC offers two worship services each Sunday at 920 Tonaquint Drive in St. George. Both services feature
a Biblical message, singing and prayer. Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month. A nursery is provided for both
services.
8:30 a.m. Praise Service
This service offers contemporary
praise songs with
music
provided by a praise band.
11 a.m. Traditional Service
If you enjoy a more traditional
form of worship, join
us for
this service, which features a
choir and a traditional liturgy.

CHURCH HISTORY
The 9 a.m. praise service and Sunday School for all ages will see changes in start times beginning Sept.
7.
On that day, the praise service will move from 9 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The Sunday School
time will move from 10 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
The change is being made to allow for a full hour for Sunday School.
The traditional service will remain at 11 a.m.

Praise service, Sunday School times changing
Come see what SHUMC has to offer in its Sunday School classes for all ages.
From
the youngest of children to adults, we have a variety of classes from which you can choose.
And, of course,
you don't want to miss out on seeing the newly painted youth room!
The open house is Sept. 7 during the Sunday School hour.
Children in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to attend Kids Klub from 5:45 to 7 p.m. Sept. 15
at the church. A light snack will be provided. For more details, e-mail

A lay speaker class will be offered Sept. 19 and 20. The cost for both the basic and advanced courses is
$35. You must recertify every three years if you wish to continue serving as a lay speaker. More information is on Page 12 of the
September newsletter (see link at left).
