The SHUMC Chancel Choir was
one of 12 choirs nationwide
selected to take part in the festival commemorating
the 300th anniversary of the birth of hymn writer Charles Wesley.
Our 8:30 a.m. praise service features our praise band. The words to songs and other presentations are
provided on a large screen in the front of the sanctuary. If you play an instrument, we invite you to rehearsals at 6 p.m. Tuesdays
at the church.
The church's hand-bell choir is known as the Wesley Ringers. The group practices at 5 p.m. Sunday afternoons
and takes part in the worship services at least once per month. Call the office for details.
The Chancel Choir shares its talents in the 11 a.m. worship services. The group rehearses at 7 p.m. Tuesdays
in the music room. Besides the weekly traditional service, the choir prepares special presentations for the Easter and Christmas seasons.
The choir performed in the 2007 Wesley Choral Festival in Avery Fisher Hall at the Lincoln Center in New York City and will sing in
the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., as Utah's representative in a national Memorial Day celebration. For more information, contact
Amy Seifert in the church office.
