     Rebekah cares for the younger children in the church during the praise and worship services each Sunday, as well as during the Sunday School hour. Visit her in the nursery in the Sanctuary building.
     Jan is an accomplished musician who serves SHUMC as the organist and accompanist for the SHUMC Chancel Choir.
     If you need something in the church office, Dawn is your best point of contact.
     Dawn compiles the information that is published each week as the church bulletin and publishes the monthly newsletter.

Staff members at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church strive to do their best
to serve you and the community while serving Christ.
     The Rev. Michael Chamness assumed the role as senior pastor at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church on July 1, 2011.
     He comes to Shepherd of the Hills with more than 30 years of ministry experience, 22 of them as an ordained clergyperson in the United Methodist Church. He has served two churches in Las Vegas as well as churches in Sedona, Ariz., and Thornton, Colo. His ministry has been marked by youth work, stewardship growth and experience in the development of contemporary worship. He also has played guitar and bass with the regional Christian band Big Fish Story for more than 20 years.
     His undergraduate degree is from San Diego State University, and he earned a master's of divinity degree from Iliff School of Theology in Denver.
     Michael is married to Ann and has two children, Sarah and Alex, who live in Northern California. He grew up in the San Diego area, enjoying mountaineering, golf and the community of faith at Escondido First United Methodist Church. In high school he lettered in tennis, water polo and baseball, and immediately following graduation he traveled to the Northwest Territories in Canada to do missionary work.
     Amy was commissioned as a deacon in the Rocky Mountain Conference in June 2011 and has served as the music director at SHUMC since 2002. Her duties include music ministry, counseling and assisting with pastoral duties for the congregation in St. George.
     Amy has a master's degree in Christian leadership from Asbury Theological Seminary and a bachelor's degree in music education from Baker University, a liberal arts United Methodist university in Baldwin City, Kan. She has served churches in Leavenworth, Kan., and Springfield, Mo.
     Amy and her husband, Todd, have two children.

YOUTH DIRECTOR:
NIKOLE STEVENSON
     Nikole is a student of Oklahoma Wesleyan University studying ministry and leadership. Her goal for the future is to be a church planter and spread God's Word.  She is a newlywed with her husband, Chris, and has lived in St. George for about a year.  
     They both have a passion for youth and young adults, and Nikole is excited to start having fun and inspiring young people for Christ.
The mission for the youth program is threefold: Have fun, Build friendships, Make disciples.
CHOIR DIRECTOR:
LILY ALO
     Lily has lived in St. George for about five years. She is a math teacher and has started a choir at Horizon Academy. She has led choirs of all ages at churches in Hawaii.
