Dear Friends,
Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church reaches out to those who want to know Jesus
the Christ more nearly and love Him more dearly. We gladly share what we know and understand about Christianity in the Wesleyan tradition.
We open our doors to seekers. We open our hearts to those in need. We open our minds to the wonder of God's
creation. We are a group of people in the tradition of John Wesley who looks with anticipation to a future that is bright with new
meanings of faith.
The people you see each week are a loving and loved body of believers in one church family.
You can certainly find a home here to pray and worship, sing and learn, work and share as we strive together to build a better world
based on God's values as we understand them in Scripture.
Fun, food and fellowship make up an important part
of who we are as a church family and to whom we belong.
We wish to all God's grace, peace and blessings.

What if church wasn't just a place to go? what if "church" was a verb? Changing "church" into a verb is a
goal for the United Methodist Church. See how you can help.
SHUMC offers two worship services each Sunday at 920 Tonaquint Drive in St. George. Both services feature
a Biblical message, singing and prayer. Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month. A nursery is provided for both
services.
8:30 a.m. Praise Service: This service offers contemporary praise songs with music provided by a praise band.
11 a.m. Traditional Service: If you enjoy
a more traditional form of worship, join us for this service, which features a choir
and a traditional liturgy.
SHUMC is a busy church. From filling backpacks for area school children to building crafts for our annual
Candy Cane Bazaar to more traditional service projects such as serving at the local soup kitchen, our congregation has many opportunities
to help in the community.
Check our home page and calendar page each week for updates on which service opportunities
are available.
